


Because of my love for art as well as baking, I decided to combine the
two and start my business "Classy Cakes" in 1995. I dedicate myself
to creating intricately designed, deliciously edible works of art paying
careful attention to detail.
Before designing a cake, I have a personal consultation with my
clients to discuss design details and cake flavors. I encourage my
clients to bring to the consultation anything that may be of personal
interest, taste, or style such as flowers, pictures or fabric swatches
that they would like incorporated into the cake. Together, we work to
draw inspiration from these items as well as from my personal
portfolio of "classy cakes" and extensive collection of cake books and
magazines.
All flowers are handcrafted by myself using an edible confection
called gum paste. Any flowers you desire can be created for the cake
and then saved as a keepsake (particularly for wedding cakes). We
also use fondant to create beautiful, intricate flowers, fruits,
seashells, lace, ribbons, bows etc.
